Aamrakhand is a delicious Indian dessert made with hung curd and mango pulp. It's a perfect summer dessert that's easy to make and tastes absolutely divine. Here's a step-by-step recipe for making aamrakhand at home:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups hung curd
  • 1 cup mango pulp
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • Saffron strands for garnishing (optional)

Instructions:

  1. To make hung curd, tie 2 cups of plain curd in a cheesecloth and hang it for 2-3 hours to remove excess water.

  2. Once the curd is hung, transfer it to a mixing bowl and add 1 cup of mango pulp to it. Mix well using a spatula or a whisk.

  3. Add 1 cup of powdered sugar and 1/4 teaspoon of cardamom powder to the mixing bowl and mix well again.

  4. Keep mixing the ingredients until the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth and creamy.

  5. Cover the mixing bowl with a cling wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours to chill.

  6. After the aamrakhand has chilled, take it out of the refrigerator and mix it well again.

  7. Garnish with some saffron strands (optional) and serve chilled.

Your delicious aamrakhand is ready! Enjoy it as a dessert after a meal or as a sweet treat on a hot summer day.
